Do I need to have an account with
Punjab National Bank to avail of the Indian Airline’s online
ticket booking facility at www.indian-airlines.com?
If you are PNB's customer, you should have at
least a savings, current or an overdraft account to make
payments online. However, you also need to register with
Indian Airline to start booking tickets online.
How do I
pay for my tickets online from my Punjab National Bank
Account?
You need to have
access to Bank’s Internet Banking service to be able to pay
online from your account.You will be sent your Internet
Banking User Id and Login password, which allows you to login
and view your accounts online. Your transaction password would
be used to authorize online debit to your account towards
payment for Indian Airline tickets or other banking &
payment transactions available on Internet Banking.
In
order to make online Indian Airline bookings you are required
to register on Indian Airlines website
(www.indian-airlines.nic.in) and, a user ID will be allotted to
you, which can be used in all future transactions in that
website. Your personal profile such as email address, home and
business address, phone and fax numbers will be stored in
their website.
How secure
are the payment transactions done online using Punjab National
Bank's Internet Banking Channel?
You can conduct
all your Internet Banking transactions on the Internet in a
safe and secure environment. Punjab National Bank uses 128-bit
Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, which is the highest
level of security commercially available. Plus, a host of
internal control measures and processes ensure that your
transactions remain confidential.
Will PNB levy transaction charge
for using online facility to book Airline tickets?
No. Currently there is no transaction charge levied by PNB
on online payment instructions to your account.
However, all known taxes at the time of ticketing will
be collected by Indian Airlines. Some airports will levy an
airport departure tax, which is payable by passengers at the
airport locally. Information on these charges is given by
Indian Airlines.
What if my account gets
debited but the reservation transaction does not complete?
If, for any reason, the reservation does not
materialize and your account gets debited, the entire amount
debited from your account will be credited back to your
account on instruction from Indian Airlines. If you want to
try for the same reservation again, it will be treated as a
fresh booking
Within how many days can I
expect a credit for refund in case of failed transactions /
cancelled tickets?
PNB will credit the customer
account within 2 working days from the receipt of instruction
from Indian Airlines to process refund.
What
is PNB's extent of liability?
1. PNB is only a
payment facilitator and hence would not be liable for defects
in products by or for any deficiency of service of Indian
Airlines.
2. PNB would not accept any notice for
cancellation or amendment of any Payment Instruction and would
reverse the debit affected only under the instructions of
Indian Airlines.
3. All disputes as to fault, imperfection
or shortcoming in the quality, quantity, potency, purity or
standard or inadequacy in the quality, nature and manner of
performance undertaken by Indian Airlines for sale of goods or
provision of services shall be settled only with Indian
Airlines and you shall not have any claim against the Bank.
How many tickets I can book at a time?
You can book online for upto 4 adults, two child
and two infants at a time.
You can book max of upto 2
segments in single transaction.
Up to what
time I can book tickets through Internet?
Bookings within 2 hours of departure cannot be
made through Indian Airlines Website. Please contact the
nearest Indian Airlines office for any assistance.
What is the time period to book neticket?
You can book as early as 90 days before the date
of departure and as close as two hours from the scheduled time
of flight departure.
Where can I contact in

Can
I print the e-ticket afterwards?
You can view and
print your e-ticket anytime by log in into Indian Airlines
website again in case if you couldn't print your e-ticket at
the time of booking.
Is reconfirmation of
reservations made online needed?
No
reconfirmation of reservations is not required once you have
booked online and make the payment
Do I
need to get a conventional paper ticket after printing of
e-ticket? No. e-Tickets mean that you will no longer
need to visit an Indian Airlines Booking Office or run to some
agents to buy or collect your ticket or even wait for it to be
delivered. Now no need to rush to the airport to collect the
tickets before it meets the ticketing deadlines. You can make
payment and print your Ticket online in your home / office.
How does an e-ticketing at Indian Airlines
work?
Indian Airlines allows booking one way and
return with features such as, apex fares option, flexible and
dynamic schedule options / displays, dynamic itinerary
display, etc.
The reservation must be made online
at www.indian-airlines.in at least 2 hours before the
departure of the flight.
You will be required to pay
online through your account with Punjab National Bank using
your Internet Banking user id and password.
After payment,
the system will generate a PNR Number and Order Number against
that itinerary and you will be asked to view / print your
ticket. On clicking, the system will generate an itinerary
receipt which is the e-Ticket and display the same on the
screen. The key information about your reservation and flights
will be very clearly displayed on the ticket. You can print
the ticket at the same time or later by log in again and
selecting the option "My Bookings" using the same Order Number
and the date of booking. To enter the airport and for
check-in, make sure you have your e-Ticket along with a valid
photo identification in order. The printout of the 'Ticket
image' is only for reference and would have no value if your
booking has been cancelled/ modified by you.
Now you can
move directly to the check-in counter. Your boarding pass will
be issued after verifying this e-Ticket and the valid photo
identity card.
What is the procedure of
debiting the amount from my account?
Once you
select your journey details, you have to select the payment
gateway for making payment. Select "PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK" in
the payment option. It will bring you to our Internet Banking
login page. After payment, the system will generate a PNR
Number and Order Number against that itinerary and you will be
asked to view / print your ticket. On clicking, the system
will generate an itinerary receipt which is the e-Ticket and
display the same on the screen. The key information about your
reservation and flights will be very clearly displayed on the
ticket. You can print the ticket at the same time or later by
log in again and selecting the option "My Bookings" using the
same Order Number and the date of booking. To enter the
airport and for check-in, make sure you have your e-Ticket
along with a valid photo identification in order.
Give
your User id & Login password. Login and see the amount to
be paid. You can select between your various accounts. And
click on "CONTINUE" to go to confirm page.
Give your User
id & Transaction password for confirming the debit. The
system will debit your account and on successful transaction,
it will go back to Indian Airlines website.
View the
system generated ticket and print it at the Indian Airlines
website
Is any identification needed
to enter the airport or for check-in?
A valid
Photo Identification is needed if you produce your e-Ticket at
the airport.They can be:
Passport (for international
passengers).
Photo credit card
Official Government
issued photo identification.
Election photo
identification.
