Create Network

Introduction

This option allows the bank administrator to create a network. The bank administrator needs to define various parameters including the following:

• Name of the network

• Network code

• Number of retries that will be allowed for the network by the application

• Number of days after which a retry is not allowed

• Whether mandate is required for the network when used in the collection transaction and

• Days of the week when the network is made available

Navigation

• Click Create New in the Network screen.

OR

• Click Create New in the Network List screen.

• The Create Network screen is displayed.

What you can do

The table below provides a brief description of the data that should be entered on the screen and the functions you can perform:

Field

Description

Network Name

The network for which the parameters have to be set can be specified. This is a mandatory field.

Network Code

The code of the required network. This is a mandatory field.

Number of retries allowed

Indicate the permissible number of retries by the application for the network. This is a mandatory field.

Number of days after which retry is not allowed

The number of days after which the retry will not be allowed by the application.

Mandate required

From the drop-down, select Yes if Mandate is required and No if it is not.  This will be applicable to collection transactions.

This field is mandatory.

Daily Network Availability

Day of the Week

The days of the week.

Network Availability

Specify whether the network is available for the particular day of the week by selecting from the drop-down.

Valid Values:

Yes

No

Start Time (hh:mm:ss)

Indicates the start time from when the network is available on a particular day of the week. The start time must be specified here in the specified format.

Note:

This field is mandatory.

End Time (hh:mm:ss)

Indicates the end time till when the network is available on a particular day of the week. The end time must be specified here in the specified format.
