Transaction Type Definition

Introduction

This option allows the bank administrator to maintain transaction types in the e-Banking application. For different transaction types, bank administrator can define the parameters like initiator account type, initiator bank type, counter party type, counter party account type, counter party region, payee or debtor bank type, network, purpose, whether transaction limits should be applicable, the maximum number of entries allowed in a transaction, whether hot payment should be allowed, scheduling of transactions and recurring transactions to be allowed and the maximum scheduling period.

Note:

  1. If transaction definition is made for a unique counterparty, the same is pre-populated in Initiate Payment screen.

  2. While doing a transaction type setup, the source of the selected counterparty will be checked against the transaction type source. Only central counterparties will be allowed to be chosen for central payments and local counterparties for local payments.

  3. A field Stored Centrally, when checked indicates if the transaction type being defined is stored centrally and maximum allowed entries are 1 in such case. However, by default it will be unchecked indicating local payment stored in the e-banking application.
