Message Centre

Introduction

Message Centre module in Finacle e-Banking is the one place where all the communications between Bank Users and the End Users will be listed. Message Centre will bring together all sorts of communication namely Mails, Broadcast Messages and Alerts, happening between the Bank Users and End Users. End Users will have the ease of finding all the communications in one single page.

End Users will have the options Inbox, Drafts, Sent Items, Trash and Personal Folders (Created by Bank Users) on the left hand side menu. They will get a Search Option to search the mails existing in various folders. Also a ‘reading pane’ will be available on the right hand side of the Message Centre.

End User can compose a new mail by clicking the ‘Compose Message’ button on the top of the page. End User can toggle between ‘Messages’ and ‘Compose Message’ options by clicking the appropriate buttons.

Since all the three types of message viz. Mails, Broadcast Messages and Alerts, are listed on the same page, different icons are used against each message to identify the type of the message.

End Users will also have options to customize the number of messages to be listed in the main page. Remaining messages will get listed in the next screen to which navigating is possible through the navigate buttons. When the user opens a message, the options to reply, forward and delete the messages are available. Moving the message to a specific folder is possible through the reading pane. End User can flag a mail for future reference download the mail in required format also print the mail directly.

User can view the list of messages in any Folder as well as the contents of any Message from that list on the same screen. The User can search the list based on specific criteria as well as Flag / Un-flag a message. A separate list named ‘Flagged Messages’ is available to the Users for viewing all the Messages flagged by them.

The Messages screen is divided into 3 sections:

  • Folders List – This is displayed on the left hand side of the screen.

  • List of Messages – This is displayed in the central area. The Messages residing in the selected folder are listed here in chronological order.

  • Reading Pane – This is displayed on the right hand side of the screen. The contents of a message selected in the List of Messages section are displayed here.

Number of unread messages will be displayed in bracket next to the ‘Inbox Folder’.

Navigation

  • Click Message Centre in the General Services  screen.
